Description
This unique new KJV Old Scofield Edition contains notes from Dr. C. I. Scofield’s 1917 study Bible, including his chain reference system on scriptural themes. The editors made grammatical changes to the introductions, section headings, cross references, and footnotes and updated abbreviations no longer in common usage to improve the modern reader’s experience.
Most importantly, the LAYOUT of the notes and references were updated from 1917 in that the cross-references were moved to the outisde margins of the bible (instead of appearing in the the center-column). Additionally, the entire Scofield text was digitally typeset (instead of merely "scanned" from on older Scofield text) in a more modern, readable, Lexicon No1 8 Point Font. Finally, this unique KJV Scofield edition features only Black Letter text, and is the only current KJV Scofield bible available without the Words of Christ in Red (for readers who appreciate the original black-letter text style).
