This KJV Hampton Text - Pictorial Hardcover Edition features a sturdy hardcover binding, with an illustrated William Tyndale Commemorative Edition design on the cover. The text includes over 5,000 useful on-page word definitions, a distinctive, clear text with a newly designed font, and good line spacing for optimum clarity and readability. Additional back of the bible features include 8 full-color maps and a daily reading plan.
The key feature of this Bible, besides portability, readability, and affordability is the 5,000+ footnotes containing word definitions for less commonly used words.
In 1525-1526, William Tyndale published the first New Testament in English translated from the original Hebrew and Greek. He did this in the face of severe persecution and would eventually pay for his translation work with his life. Tyndale’s translation formed the basis of the Authorized (King James) Version of the Bible, which was completed in the following century. We are marking the 500th anniversary by publishing a special edition of the Authorized (King James) Version of the Bible.
This commemorative edition has a pictorial cover, featuring the statue of William Tyndale on Victoria Embankment in London, and contains special presentation and introductory pages, including a historical timeline.
